Summer Glen Magna Farms Wedding | Sura & Mazin

Updated: 4 days ago

Picture this - a beautiful, warm summer day celebrating a whole evening of love amongst your loved ones, flowers, and the most stunning landscapes and gardens. That is exactly what this Glen Magna Farms wedding day was for Sura & Mazin in July 2023 in Danvers, MA.

Owned by the Danvers Historical Society, Glen Magna Farms is a stunning historic country estate, filled with 11 acres of land overflowing with lush gardens filled with wisteria, peonies, lilies, dogwoods, roses, and so much more. Glen Magna Farms is the perfect wedding venue for all of your garden inspired dreams.

Being able to add florals to such a natural and already beautiful landscape is always a dream venue of mine. Sura & Mazin share a love of flowers similar to my own and we focused on truly enhancing the natural beauty of the venue with flowers throughout the tented reception space.

Focusing our efforts on the sailcloth style tent for the reception, the showstopper pieces that we focused on were the hanging greenery wreaths for the tent poles and the tent entrance floral installation.

For guests entering the tent from the cocktail hour, we wanted to highlight the opening of the tent with a floral and greenery installation at the tent opening, welcoming guests to come in. Featuring greenery like smilax and Italian ruscus and flowers like playa blanca roses and toffee roses, the entry of the tent was transformed into part of the garden landscape of the venue, welcoming guests to the reception.

As you enter through the tent entry greenery, the next floral pieces to catch your eye were the lush hanging greenery wreaths. These wreaths were hung from the two main tent poles and filled with various types of lush greenery and floral pops like alstroemeria, spray roses, and playa blanca roses. These pieces provided the perfect statement surrounding the dance floor and really making them a 'wow' factor as soon as you entered the tent.

The last elements that brought the full look of the tent reception were the centerpieces and tapered candles featured at all the tables and the sweetheart table. In these arrangements, we opted for gold compote vases and had fun with the featured flowers and pops of colors like light blues, peach, white, and pinks. For the sweetheart table, we elevated the design by incorporating some cascading greenery to truly highlight the table for the newlyweds.

Aside from the reception florals, one of my other favorite pieces of the wedding was Sura's wedding bouquet. In discussing her bouquet, Sura noted that she loved poppies, and it was one of the main flowers that we wanted to highlight in her personal bouquet! We were able to secure poppies from our dedicated wholesalers to make her dream vision come to life!

Featuring poppies, ranunculus, orlaya, roses, dahlias, cosmos, and so many other unique items, this bouquet truly was the showstopper of the day!
